Grilled Shrimp With White Horseradish Sauce
Makes Appetizers for 8 or 4 Entrees
Here Is What You Need:
1 pound extra large shrimp, thawed if frozen, deveined and peeled, tails intact
2 TBS BBQ rub seasoning, storebought or your favorite recipe
1 cup mayonnaise
1 tsp brown sugar
1 tsp garlic powder
1 TBS whole grain mustard
3 TBS prepared horseradish
3 TBS white vinegar
several dashes of Worcestershire sauce
2 TBS chopped chives plus a little extra for garnish
2 TBS chopped parsley plus a little extra for garnish
Olive oil
Kosher Salt and fresh ground black pepper
Lemon wedges for serving
Here is What You Need To Do:
In a large glass bowl toss the shrimp with a couple TBS of olive oil and the BBQ rub.
In a separate large glass bowl combine the mayonnaise, brown sugar, garlic powder, mustard, horseradish, vinegar, Worcestershire, chives and parsley. Season with some salt and pepper.
Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning as you like.
Over a medium-high grill or grill pan cook the shrimp for about 2 to 3 minutes per side.
Place the shrimp on a platter or individual plates along with the lemon wedges.
Put the sauce in a serving bowl and garnish with chives and parsley.
