Banana Bread

Banana Bread

Here's What You Need:

3 medium very ripe bananas

1/3 cup melted unsalted butter (that's just a little over 5 TBS)

1 pinch of salt

½ tsp baking soda

¾ cup sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 egg, beaten

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

Butter flavored non-stick cooking spray (or you can just butter the loaf pan)

Here is what you need to do:

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

Place peeled bananas in a large mixing bowl, break them up then smash them up with a fork. Pour the melted butter over the bananas and mix together.

Add the baking soda, salt, sugar, vanilla and egg. Gently mix and then add in the flour.

Mix the flour into the batter but don't over mix it.

Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan and slide it into your oven, on the center rack, for 1 hour.

Take the banana bread out of the oven and stick a toothpick right through the center.

If it comes out clean it's done if not pop it back in the oven for a few more minutes then do the toothpick test again.

When it's done, let cool for 10 minutes then pop it out of the pan and enjoy!
