There is a guy in New York who loves Christmastime. No, he really, really, REALLY loves Christmastime.
Frankie “Christmas” Bianco takes the top prize for the most holiday cheer. The 55-year-old loves the season so much that he transforms his one-bedroom apartment--YES, that's a ONE-BEDROOM APARTMENT--into a full-on Christmas wonderland.
And it's not just in December. Not even beginning in mid-November. Frankie goes all out from Labor Day until the following April. He hangs up 13-thousand bulbs on 12 Christmas trees before leaving them up for the next eight months.
He says he spent more than 200 hours stringing up lights in his unit…But it’s not just lights. Bianco also puts stickers of gingerbread men and candy canes up on the walls, plus he puts snowmen on the shelves.
So, why does he do it? Bianco explains, “All I ever want for Christmas is to spread a little joy into the world.”
It's a real-life Buddy the Elf!
