MIAMI, FL — November 19, 2025 — South Florida’s largest annual giving event, Give Miami Day, returns Thursday, November 20, with organizers aiming to surpass last year’s record-breaking total of $39.5 million raised for local nonprofits.
Hosted by The Miami Foundation, the 24-hour online fundraiser supports more than 1,400 organizations across education, health, arts, and social services. Donations start at $25, and every dollar goes directly to participating nonprofits, many of which operate on budgets under $250,000.
Early giving began November 15 and included a community 5K and festival at Maurice A. Ferré Park. Matching gifts and prize incentives will continue throughout Thursday to encourage participation.
Since its launch in 2012, Give Miami Day has raised over $100 million, growing into one of the nation’s largest single-city giving events. Last year’s campaign saw a 16% increase in donors, reflecting Miami’s growing culture of philanthropy.
“This is surround-sound generosity,” said Rebecca Fishman Lipsey, President and CEO of The Miami Foundation. “Every person in Miami has a chance to step forward for the causes they care about.”
Residents can donate at GiveMiamiDay.org until midnight Thursday.
