(Miami, FL) - Governor Ron DeSantis speaking at FIU in Miami today touted Florida's charter schools.
Adding that the robust school choice programs are providing the best educational opportunities for every student.
He says he is especially pleased with Success Academy, New York City’s largest charter operator, that expanded to Florida which was a major shift in strategy for the network.
DeSantis called charter schools, "public schools without teachers' unions." DeSantis says charter schools have been bad for teachers' unions as teachers now can opt out of automatically paying union dues.
Gov. Ron DeSantis proclaiming that Florida is number one in teacher freedom and school choice nationwide.
He adds that Florida is also number one in the nation for higher education ten years in a row.
