The Palm Beach County School District says it will once again serve breakfast and lunch at no charge to students during the upcoming school year.
The meals will continue to adhere to federal guidelines, incorporating a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, and low-fat or fat-free milk options.
School district officials say they hope the food program alleviates pressure on families facing food insecurity, but the program ensures all students have access to nutritious meals regardless of their family's income status.
Additionally, it can improve student focus, attendance, and academic achievement.
